Recipients of the first round of federal Pandemic Unemployment Assistance payments to self-employed workers, independent contractors, and other workers not usually eligible for unemployment insurance benefits will be notified today, and will receive those payments beginning next week.
If you are self-employed, an independent contract, or a gig worker, you can find information on how to apply for PUA benefits by going to covid19.nj.gov, and type self employed in the search box.
