Connect and network with state agencies, technical assistance providers, and lenders to grow your business by attending Resources for Growth, a free event on March 8th, 2023 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at Raritan Valley Community College. Attendees can meet one-on-one with representatives of the New Jersey Business Action Center, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, the Department of Labor and Workforce Development, the Department of the Treasury, the Board of Public Utilities, the Small Business Development Center, and others.
Please note: New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) will have a table at the upcoming Resources for Growth event on March 8th at RVCC to discuss the grant programs below that are the most impactful for small businesses.
Small Business Improvement Grant (link below)
The NJEDA Small Business Improvement Grant provides reimbursement for costs associated with making interior or exterior building improvements or purchasing new furniture, fixtures, and equipment. Reimbursement is up to 50% of total project costs incurred up to a maximum award of $50,000. Only one award is allowed per Employer Identification Number (EIN) for the life of the program. Small Business Lease Grant (link below)
The NJEDA Small Business Lease Grant supports the growth of small businesses by providing grant funding to cover a portion of lease payments.
If eligible, two grant awards of 20 percent of the annual lease payment will be awarded. The first disbursement will be made after execution of grant agreement, and the second disbursement will be made after 12 months of lease payments have been paid by the applicant. The lease must be for a minimum of 5 years and for a street-level space. Business and nonprofits are eligible. Please see njeda.com for complete program requirements.
